She was born on November 9, 1924 in Nelsonville a daughter of the late Eugene and Gertrude (Winigman) Bay.
Madeline was a survivor of Polio since the age of 5. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Extension Group, Senior Citizens of Sugar Grove and the Red Hat Society.
Madeline is survived by two brothers, William R. Bay and Ralph G. Bay; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Valley and Lewis Bay; several sisters, Marie Armstrong, Lucille Tatman. Erma Arent, Naomi Murdock, Virginia Tatman, Freda Williams and Betty Jourdan.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Kandyse Nuce officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Madeline's niece and caregiver Judith Fricker, the staff of Heartland of Fairfield where she lived for 12 years and FairHoPo Hospice for all their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in Madeline's memory.
