Frank retired from the Marion Power Shovel Co., where he worked for nearly 40 years.
At the time of their 50th wedding anniversary, (1963), they had seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Frank E. Barton, 77 of 786 Bennett St., Marion, Ohio, a former resident of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Sept. 1, 1967 at Marion General Hospital following a long illness.
Frank was born April 30, 1890. He was the son of Charles Harvey and Nannie Emily (Dutro) Barton.
He lived in Marion for 55 years and was a member of Fite Memorial Baptist Church and the 25 year club of The Power Shovel Company where he was employed for over 40 years.
Frank was survived by his widow, the former Elsie Bonham who he married in 1913; 2 sons, Donald George Barton of Big Island and Charles Harvey Barton of Larue; 2 brothers, Edwin of Philo, Ohio and Harold D. of Zanesville, Ohio 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Hughes Mortuary with Rev. Robert Maugams officiating.
