Richard "Rick" Alan Engleman, age 53, left this earth at home on November 20, 2014.
Rick was born on June 28, 1961 in Maine to James and Phyllis(Lee) Engleman.
Rick and his family moved to South Dakota after his father was transferred to EAFB. He spent his childhood in the Robbinsdale area of Rapid City and in Box Elder where he graduated with honors from Douglas High School in 1979.
Rick attended the School of Mines (blueprint guy), before working for many years as a baker for Nash Finch.
He found his passion for the outdoors and working with his hands as a carpenter, priding himself on the precision and beauty of the structures he help construct.
On July 4th, 1988 his life was blessed with the birth of his son Bryce Roy Engleman. Rick was a fisherman to his very core, and he cherished sharing his love of fishing with Bryce and his soul mate Michelle Militello.
Rick is survived by: wife, his mother, a stepson stepdaughter and granddaughters Kayla, Lily, Elizabeth, Kaydi, and Aubrey of Box Elder. two brothers three sisters. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by; son Bryce, father James, and brothers James and Henry Edwin.
Memorial services will be held on Monday November 24th at The Well Sanctuary at Shelter 50, 602 St. Andrew St. Rapid City.
There will be a viewing from 1 to 5pm followed by a service and a late luncheon.
