Chalmer Blair Jr. Was born in Portland, the only child of Chalmer and Harriett Blair. He passed away on his 94th birthday at Necanicum Village in Seaside.

Chalmer attended Grant High School and married his high school sweetheart, Marsha, in 1942. He served with honor during WWII and after completion of his active duty he began his career in sales with International Harvester. He ended his career as regional fleet sales manager in the Los Angeles area.

Upon his retirement he and his wife , Darlene, returned to their home in Cannon Beach. Chalmer enjoyed the game of golf which he played for 85 years.

Chalmer was preceded in death by his parents, late wife and son, Theodore Robert Blair. He is survived by his son Steven, grandsons Michael and Christopher.

Chalmer has been interred in Willamette National Cemetery with a private ceremony.
