Survived by wife Johanna Marie Christina Possehl Jauert. She went by the name of Marie Jauert.
His father was Johann Christian Jauert (1805-1866).
His mother was Catharine Marie Dorothea Dorring (1809-1875).
His great grandfather was Hans H Jauert (1724-1785)
His great grandmother was Marie Saschsen.
Peter & Marie had ten children. Wilemine, known as Mina, was adopted by Johann Peter. Mina's biological father was Christian Johann Wilhelm Awe.
Peter, Marie, Mina & Rudolph immigrated from Germany November 1868 on the ship Cimbria.

Son John is believed to be buried in Potter's Field Chicago. John married Matilda Klemmer in 1925 and together they had 12 children.
