Annette Nugent, age 93, of Bad Axe, MI - passed away on Sunday, April 6th, 2014, at the Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on October 15, 1920 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Floyd and Louise (Swackhammer) Jeffery. She married Willliam "Bill" Nugent on July 26, 1947 in St. Edward's Sacred Heart Catholic Church-St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. Annette enjoyed baking and was an avid reader. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church-St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe.
She is survived by 1 son: Ronald (Irene) Nugent of Bad Axe; 2 daughters: Carol (Bernie) Wolshchlager of Bad Axe, Jean (Randy) Forster of Bad Axe; 1 sister: Phyllis Coates of Bad Axe; 7 grandchildren: Todd (Gaye) Wolschlager of Port Huron, Chris (Heather) Wolschlager of Essexville, Jenny Nugent and fiance Matt Potoff of Grand Rapids, Bill (Lori) Nugent of Sandusky, Jim Nugent of Bad Axe, Rikki (Duane) Tschirhart of Ubly, Becky Forster and fiance Tim Stephan of Bad Axe; and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is one brother Charles Jeffery and 1 great granddaughter Abigail Wolschlager.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church-St Hubert Parish in Bad Axe, MI. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Tuesday, April 8th from 2-8pm. Or on Wednesday, April 9th at the church from 10am until the service time at 11am.
