Mary “Eileen” Jacobs, 82, of Springfield, formerly of Bloomington, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 23, 2014) at Oak Terrace, Springfield.
She was born Dec. 30, 1931 in Springfield to William and Dorothy Harbauer Adelman Sr. She married Glenn Jacobs on June 21, 1958. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Greg (Kathy) Jacobs; two daughters, Linda (Steve) Gnuse and Lori (John) Moore; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Opal Jacobs; two sisters-in-law, Nadine Adelman and Donna (Richard) Kolinski; one brother-in-law, Rusty Sonnenberg and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Thomas; sister, Edna Sonneberg and brother, Bill Adelman Jr.
Eileen worked for Fleischli Medical Clinic, Illinois Bell Telephone Co., State Farm Insurance Cos., House of Wesley, Mennonite/Brokaw Hospital and Prairieland HMO.
