Charles Scott Belue was born in Union County South Carolina to the Parents of Oberion and Nelle Belue. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds recieved D-Day +7 June 13th, 1944. He was married to Sara Frances Fincher also of Union, SC. Charles and Sara had two boys, Donald and Michael, born in Union, and two girls, Bonita and Nancy, born in Greenville SC where the family lived, worked, and went to school. All the children grew up and were married in Greenville, then all moved away except Donald. Charles and Sara then moved to Garden City SC, on the coast of South Carolina, when Charles' health declined, and lived there until he passed away in 1973.

Sara lived on in Garden City and re-married several years later to John Scanlon.
