Kurt G. Narten, 69, of 1035 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening,
August 18, 1991, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Private funeral services for the family will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Harrian Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gerald
Prusakowski O.F.M. Cremation will have taken place with burial of the
cremains to be at Calvary Cemetery.
He was born December 7, 1921, at Celle, Germany, son of Elizabeth Eggers
Narten and the late Louis Narten. He came to the United States at the
age of 5 in 1926. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1940. He
then entered the United States Army where he served during World War II.
He had been employed with Manitowoc Shipbuilding and later with White
House Milk Company. He was married to Fern Wickert September 18, 1943,
at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Fern; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Narten of
Manitowoc a son, William Narten of Manitowoc; a brother and
sister-in-law, Guenther (Elmer) and Patricia Narten of Manitowoc; two
grandchildren, Scott C. Narten and Elizabeth M. Narten both of Green
Bay; two nephews and a niece, other relatives and friends.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home is assisting the family with
arrangements.
