A devoted and loving wife and mother, Marguerite will always be remembered for her smile and generous heart.
She was born Dec 21, 1919 in Sedalia, Missouri. Her parents were Fred Bentley and Thelma Nightingale Bentley.
She enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage with her beloved Roy Lee Stokes. They were married on Dec 2, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1994.
After marriage Marge and Roy lived in St. Louis, MO. They came to California in 1954 via Route 66 and lived in several places including: Covina, Santa Ana, North Salton Sea, Palomar Mountain State Park, Chula Vista, Santee, Costa Mesa and Newbury Park.
Also preceding Marge in death were her brother Floyd and sister Dorothy.
Marge is survived by her son Glenn Stokes and her son-in-law Patrick McArron.
Her ashes will be placed next to Roy at El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, CA. A private memorial will be observed.
