Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, 1999, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Steven Olson and Sister Jean Herrman Dykstra, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born August 11, 1941, in Leland, Iowa, son of the late Grant and Amanda Hegland Nordskog. Darrell served in the Armed Forces with the United States Army during 1964 until 1966, with a tour in Germany On December 26, 1969, he married the former Mary Wier at First German Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Darrell was employed with various employers, including Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers, and Mirro-Foley, Manitowoc. Darrell loved music, and was very talented at composing as well as playing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, Manitowoc; three sons, Darren Nordskog, Inver-Grove Heights, Minn., Daniel Nordskog, Madison, Derrick Nordskog, at home; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald Nordskog, Mahnomen, Minn., Marvin and Patricia Nordskog, Germantown, Stanley Nordskog, Marinette, Wis.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lavonne Weaver, Lake Mills, Iowa, Carol and Dean Stahl, Ennis, Texas, Phyliss Sterry, Fosston, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Barbara Kunesh, and her husband Ronald, Denmark; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Wier, and his wife, Marge, Clinton, Richard Wier, Rockford, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. on Friday until the time of service.
