Age 92, Manitowoc, died Monday, at River’s Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc with family at his side. David was born in Manitowoc, son of the late Alois and Frances (Korlesky) Kaminski. He graduated with the class 1940 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. David married the former Frances M. Piefer on September 23, 1944 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2008. He worked at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. from 1941 until 1967. He became a member of 731 Carpenters and Millwright Union in 1967 and worked for Bectel and Westinghouse retiring in 2000. He enjoyed being with family, playing his accordion, an occasional trip to Oneida and scratching off lottery tickets. David was very good mechanically and enjoyed working with his hands on different projects in his garage with family. He also loved traveling with his wife Frances and he was a big Packer Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alois and Frances Kaminski; loving wife: Frances M. Kaminski; one brother: Norb Kaminski; maternal and paternal grandparents; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
