Jim's father is John Darby Sr. 1796-1822 and mother is Cintha Kiernaghan 1808 - 1879

Jim served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He was married twice. His First Wife Rachel Carnahan Born 1825- 1854, with whom he had two sons John Jr. and Henry Clark. His second marriage was to Francis Jane Curtis Born 1842, with whom he had two daughters Mattie, and Nannie Lee (my gg grandmother) After the war Jim built the Cotton Mill in Wesson Mississippi close to Brookhaven.
