Fred Arlington Howard was the son of Derias and Laura Jane Howard Howard. He was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky and died in Waverly, Ohio. He married Alpha Howard and they had 14 children: Seven sons; Chalmer(USArmy,Texas) Robert, Freddie, David, Ronald, Darrell and Luther,all at home. Seven daughters: Reva Jane Howard Rowland, Mrs Clayton Cox of Columbus, Ohio, Josephine Thomson, Glen Lyn of Virginia. Anna Ruth, Carol Alice and Debra Howard, all at home. Also surviving were five grandchildren and a brother Ova of Waverly, Ohio.
Fred and Alpha were members of United Baptist Church. Jess Pennington and Lonnie Murray officiated at Fred's service.
