Robert S. Arquette, 76, of the O'Neil Road, Beekmantown, New York, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the home of his son in Duanesburg, New York.

He was born in Plattsburgh, New York, on March 10, 1938, the son of John and Viola (Seguare) Arquette.

Robert had been employed as a heavy equipment operator and construction worker for many years before becoming self-employed as a sawyer, cutting and selling firewood. Robert played in bands for many years, and played numerous musical instruments.

Robert was pre-deceased by his parents; his wife, Shirley (Hemingway) Arquette, whom he married in 1958 and passed away in 2000; his companion, Ruth Dixon, who passed away in 2012; and his sisters, Mrs. Louise M. Sorrell and Mrs. Rose Eldred.

Robert was survived by a sister, Ruth Stone of West Chazy, New York; three sons, Steven R. Arquette of Mooers Forks, New York, Raymond (Tammy) Arquette of Duanesburg, New York, and Dennis (Amy) Arquette of Morrisonville, New York; two daughters, Nancy (William) Rogoza of Granville, New York, and Sandra (Daniel) Woodrow of Averill Park, New York; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Jed.

A graveside service and interment will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Chazy, New York.
