Stayed in Bloomfield until 1945. Family then moved to Mishawaka, Indiana, where William started a furniture upholstery career & operated as a self employed business until his retirement late in life.
He moved to Warsaw Indiana where he first married Oberene Booker Geckeler and later Ruth Geckeler Ralston (step daughter) (1980)
