Leoma Ellis
Mrs. Leoma (Lee) Ellis, 71, wife of former Kosciusko County Treasurer William E. Ellis, and personnel director for Kimble Glass Co. for 21 years, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday at Prairie View Rest Home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1906 in Hancock County to Jesse and Anna (Buchfink) Sanford. Her marriage to William E. Ellis occurred June 23, 1944 at Speedway, Ind. She moved to Warsaw from Speedway in 1947.
The deceased was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William E. Ellis; two sons, Glenn Amos, Chicago Heights, Ill., Robert Ellis, Warsaw; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Moore, Warsaw; two brothers, Wilbur Sanford, Speedway, Jack Sanford, Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Jean Workman, Indianapolis; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chamness Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Smith will officiate and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
