Ada Johnson was the daughter of Elizabeth Bold and John Johnson. Her parent's died when she was a child, so she and her siblings, Thomas and Esther, were left in the care their grandparents, Sarah Thompson and John Bold, of Vineland, NJ. In 1895 Ada married Samuel William White of Staatsburg, NY.
