Son of Henry Sweet and Mary Delphine Henderson. He was a World War II veteran, a published poet, and a life long member of the Masons and the Shriners. He was very proud of his service in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He married Myrtle Gladys Hubbard May 8, 1937 at Lake Orion, Michigan.
They were the parents of Dale Henry Sweet.
