"F.A. Gordon, W.C. James, Lester Parsons, Pirt Herrington, and a Mr. McDonald went a fishing last Thursday night and killed 17 fish and they weighed 100 pounds. Some cooked, some fished and some caught bad colds."

"SUDDEN DEATH
H. Nunnelly who recently came to McCurtain county from North Texas, died suddenly at his camp, about 14 miles north of Valliant last night. Deceased and his wife have been camped for some time digging snake root, at the place of his death. He retired at the usual hour in seeming good health, Mrs. Nunnelley stating that he had not been complaining of any ailment. She awoke about 10'oclock last night and not hearing Mr. Nunnelley breathing she got up and lighted the lamp and discovered that he was dead. Deceased was the father of Mrs. Arthur McDonald, of this place."
