Born Jan. 8, 1905, in Shelby County near Manilla, he was a lifelong resident of the County. S/o Mrs. Laura (Davis) Hutchens who is a patient at a Greensburg nursing home, and the late Arthur Hutchens.
Nov. 28, 1929, married Florence Fookes and she survives with the mother and three sons, Steve and Gary Hutchens of this city and William Hutchens of Indianapolis.
Also surviving: brother, L. R. Hutchens of Indianapolis, and four grandchildren.
Graduate of Manilla High School and a member of the First Methodist Church.
Carmony Funeral Home here, with Rev. Lewis Wilson and Rev. J. D. Young officiating.
Burial: Forest Hill Cemetery.
