EUGENE ALLEN HOKE, 74, of 14014 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, and formerly of Clear Spring, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home. Born May 15, 1925, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late John George and Edna Bell Insminger Hoke. His wife, Evelyn Frances Hoke, died December 1987.

He attended school in the Hagerstown School District. He was a sub-contracted maintenance engineer for Mack Trucks Inc. He was a member of Mack Truck Night Owls Bowling League and a former member of Isaac Walton League.

He is survived by a son, Dale Allen Hoke of Hagerstown; two sisters, Catherine Grove and Mary Jane McCauley, both of Hagerstown; and two brothers, Ralph Hoke of Hagerstown and Robert N. Hoke of Maugansville.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elouise Hoke and Marie Fuller; and two brothers, Donald Hoke and John R. Hoke.

Services were held at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
