Mrs. Nellie Irene Stone, aged 61 years, wife of Charles Stone, Volant R. D. 2, died Wednesday afternoon at 1:35 o'clock in the Bashline-Rossman hospital, Grove City, as the result of a month's illness due to complications.

Born July 19, 1886, in Venango county, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary E. Armstrong Perrine. She was a member of the Drake Missionary Alliance church and missionary society of the church. The deceased served on the church board and taught a class in the Bible school for several years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Mrs. Freda Crawford, Volant R. D. 1, and four step-children, Merle Stone, Ellwood City, Mrs. Linnie Donley, California, Mrs. Marie McFarland and Wesley Stone, both of Volant R. D. 2.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Cunningham funeral home, Leesburg, with the Rev. Richard H. Yates, pastor of Grove City Missionary Alliance church, officiating. Interment will take place in Amity cemetery.

Friend will be received at the funeral home this evening and Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock as well as Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 o'clock.[New Castle News, Page 2, New Castle, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, January 15, 1948.]
