Viola R. Carlson, age 89, formerly of Manitowoc, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Golden Living Center-Dorchester in Sturgeon Bay.
The former Viola Anderson was born on July 4, 1925 in Door County, daughter of the late Merton and Emma (Lawton) Anderson. On May 28, 1949, Viola was married to Harold Carlson at Sister Bay. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1998. Viola and Harold farmed and had a cherry and apple orchard in Sister Bay moving to Manitowoc in 1964.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis (Dorita) Carlson, Manitowoc; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren, other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Bob Beehner will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
