Haese, Ronald W.

Ronald W. Haese, age 76, of 1304 Philippen Street, Manitowoc passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife surrounded by his children on the evening of Friday, November 28, 2014 after a courageous 6 year battle with Multiple Myeloma, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Ron was born to the late Adolf and Viola (Van Braemer) Haese on August 15th, 1938. He attended grade school at First German Ev. Lutheran School and was confirmed at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1957. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1955-1963; he was stationed at Camp McCoy, WI and Fort Ord, CA. On June 30th, 1962 Ron married the former Arline Dittmann at First German Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord, serving on various boards and committees at his church. To be closer to his daughters and grandchildren he left the congregation at First German Ev. Lutheran Church and he joined Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Ron worked for Kortas Automotive, Jochem Auto Parts and retired from Dick Bros. Bakery in 2001. Later he then worked part time for Manitowoc Pharmacies and due to his illness had to finish his working career in March of 2014. The one true love he had was spending time with his family, especially attending sporting and extra-curricular events for his grandchildren; he was a proud supporter of Manitowoc Lutheran Lancer Athletics. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially their trip to Hawaii. Ron enjoyed watching the Wisconsin Badgers and the Chicago Bears, his two favorite sports teams. At numerous family functions, dad always had a microphone in his hands, serenading us with Elvis songs.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for though art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Lynn Baatz and Dr. Kiernan Minehan for their compassion and wonderful care given to our husband and father for the past 6 years. We would like to thank the staff at the Caner Center for always encouraging and supporting our dad, helping through his journey of life, always encouraging him to live while he was living. A special thank you to the CCU and the 5th floor nursing staff at holy family for taking such good care of Ron these last few days. Steve, Jona and Brenda would like to thank our mother for always putting our dad first. Her love for our dad was evident in everything that she did for him especially in the last year of his life.
