Janet Lou Aaron, 83, Kokomo, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 01, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 9, 1931, in Marion, the daughter of Mainel E. and Juanita M. (Hudson) Sparks. She married Robert E. Aaron on March 16, 1951, at the Union Street Friends Church, and he preceded her in death March 31, 2005.
Janet was a 1949 graduate of Kokomo High School. She retired from Haynes-Stellite Corp. January 1, 1983, after 33 years in the sales dept. She was a member of First Friends Meeting, a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge, #89, and the Quarter Century Club at Haynes-Stellite.
Survivors include one sister, Norma J. Dunn; brothers-in-law, Jack (Helen) Aaron, Paul Aaron, all of Kokomo, Ron (Carolyn) Aaron of Bunker Hill; one sister-in-law, Janet (William) Timberman of Kokomo; eighteen nephews; six nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Donn E. Sparks.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Friends Meeting, 1801 Zartman Rd., Kokomo, 46902, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
