Dorothy Marie Wells Coons, 84, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Coons was a Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Coons of Dyersburg; two daughters, Jo Ann Cummings and husband, Leon, of Dyersburg and Linda Burgan and husband, Jack, of Alpharetta, GA; two sons, Jerry Charley and wife, Susan, and Darrell Coons, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Margie Bobo of Paris and Tillie Jones of Finley; a brother, Paul Wells of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Thomas Lane Cummings, Wade Burgan and Jacklyn Burgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewey and Beddie Little Wells; a sister, Effie Carper; and a brother, Jay Wells.
The family requests that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
