BLAIR, John W., age 58, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton where he had been a patient for three days. He was born August 9, 1956 in Middletown, Ohio and lived in this area most of his life. He graduated from Edgewood High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years, on the USS Thamaston. John was a cabinet maker by trade and a member of the Moose Lodge 501. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Shari in 1999; and a niece, Kim Ward. He is survived by by his wife Jackie; two children, Kaley Yalch, husband Steve and John Eric Blair; his parents, Charles F. and Ruby J. (Cook) Blair; one brother, Charles R. Blair, wife Julie; two sisters, Charlotte Baker, husband Bruce and Barbara Dougherty, husband Darrell; stepchildren Terry Smith wife Nicole, Todd Smith, and Tiffany Moore husband Barry; and three step-grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith, Trenton Smith, and Stephan Moore. Visitation will be Friday, November 21. 2014 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be at the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio with Military Honors by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements by Herr-riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
