Ada E. Hale

Ada E. Hale, daughter of the late Hugh and Alice Blair Caudill, was born in Letcher County on January 27, 1911. She died on Thursday, January 23, 1994 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, being eighty-two years, eleven months and twenty-six days of age at the time of her death.

Survivors include: her husband, Thomas B. Hale of Whitesburg; one son, George R. Hale of Pine Creek; four daughters, Alice Cornett of Knoxville, Tennessee, Matilda Banks of Whitesburg, Arzella Littrell of Newport Richie, Florida and Mary Urbanchuck of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; four brothers: Sam Caudill of Melvindale, Michigan, John B. Caudill of Flat Gap, Kentucky, James E. Caudill of Alexandria, Virginia and Elic Caudill of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters: Sarah Vestal of Ohio and Ruth Lew of Oxon Hill, Maryland; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Ada was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church in Whitesburg and a member of the Whitesburg Order of the Eastern Star Hester Chapter No. 54.

Funeral services for Ada E. Hale were conducted from the Chapel of the Everidge Funeral Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 26, 1994 at 1 p.m.

The officiating minister was C. A. Easterling, while grandsons and great grandsons served as pallbearers.

Burial took place in the Sandlick Cemetery in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
