Earline J. Sickinger, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on May 22, 1943 in Manitowoc, WI to Earl and Berdine (Nicholas) Retzlaff. She was married on August 22, 1965 to Richard “Dick” Sickinger at First German Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, WI.
Earline graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College of New Ulm, MN and went on to be a third grade teacher at Grace Lutheran School in Oshkosh, WI for 33 years.
Earline loved reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as taking care of them, and teaching her students about God's Word all throughout her career.
Earline is survived by her mother, Berdine (Retzlaff) Ording; husband, Dick Sickinger; sons, Jack (Beth) and Mark (Sarah) Sickinger; sister, Jeanine (Dennis) Forsberg; grandchildren, Rachel and Griffin Sickinger; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Earl Retzlaff; and infant daughter Chris.
A memorial service for Earline will be held in private per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Martin Luther Lurtheran School or Grace Lutheran School.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Affinity Hospice for the love and care they provided for Earline on her journey.
