Charles "Chile" Bigham, was born in Dallas on September 1, 1930, and left this world peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 3, 2014. A graduate of Adamson High School, he attended the University of Texas where he earned All-American status as a 1st baseman in 1951. Always a ballplayer, he played senior's slow pitch well in to his 70's. Everyone loved Chile as he never met a stranger. His wit, optimism and love of life will be missed by all who were touched by him. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeannene; 4 children: Mike; Mark and wife, Sherry; Denise and husband Ted, and; Matt. Known as "Big Daddy" to 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Viewing: Sun, 2-5pm at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, Grand Prairie Funeral: Mon, 1pm The Woods UMC, Grand Prairie with graveside at Restland Cemetary, Dallas.
