Hilda Mitchell Hindman, widow of Neville Millard Hindman, Sr., died peacefully, unafraid and in the hope of resurrection on December 5, 2014, in her one-hundredth year. She was a faithful member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She retired from the Virginia Retirement System after 26 years of dedicated service.
Mrs. Hindman was a member and past Matron of Mizpah #32 O.E.S., a member and past Royal Matron of Virginia Court No. 1, O. of A., a charter member of Old Dominion Shrine No. 2, and a member of the Scottish Rite Women's Club.
She is survived by her son, David M. Hindman and his wife, Teri, of Williamsburg, VA, two daughters, Jo Ann H. Crabbe and husband Clarke, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Gail H. Mickey and husband Don, of Charles Town, WV; grandchildren Jonathan Hindman and his wife Amy, Benjamin Hindman and his wife Lauren, Grace Hindman, Kevin Crabbe and his wife Colleen, Kurtis Crabbe, Stephanie Engle and her husband Steven, Scott Mickey and his wife Tammy, Timothy Light and his wife Cindy. There are also 11 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and numerous great nieces and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation with family will be held on Monday, December 8, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2333 Hilliard Road; a Service of Death and Resurrection will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 9, 11:00 a.m; interment at 2:30 p. m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 2333 Hilliard Road, Richmond, VA 23228.
