GORDONVILLE — Funeral services for Leeroy Rodgers, age 69, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wed­nes­day, Oct. 19, 2005, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with the Rev. Joe Patter­son officiating. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at the funeral home.

Mr. Rodgers passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

He was born July 13, 1936, in Sanger, Texas, to Elmer and Annie Jewel (Winstead) Rodgers. He married Cordie Ray on Oct. 21, 1978 ,in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Leeroy enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, football and Old Milwaukee's Best.

Survivors include his wife, Cordie Rodgers of Gordonville; two sons, Bret Rodgers and wife Virginia of Whitesboro and Randal Rodgers and wife Denise of Grapevine; two grandsons, William and Zachary Rodgers of Denton; and a sister, Margaret Rodgers of Denton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
