Funeral services for Andy Lee Boyd, 51, of Jayess, were Aug. 13, 2005, at Powell's Grove Pentecostal Church in Jayess with Rev. Mike Dykes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Aug. 10, 2005, at his home.
Boyd was a retired tool pusher with Trans Ocean and a member of Powells Grove Pentecostal Church.
He was born April 15, 1954, in Tylertown, son of Katherine Ballard Boyd of Jayess and the late Mackley J. Boyd. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Toby L.Boyd.
Survivors include his mother; wife, Vickie Boyd of Jayess; a son, Daryl Boyd of Jayess; a daughter, Angel Boyd Powell of Jayess; two brothers, Kelly M. Boyd of Pascagoula and Tony E. Boyd of Buckly, Wash.; a sister, Mary Ellen Ballard of Clarksville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Cheyenne Powell, James Powell and Jamison Boyd.
