Eleanor married John Allison, Jr. John Allison, Jr., was born on September 15, 1762, likely in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was a son of John Allison, Sr. (1714-1790) and Jean (Brownlee) Allison. During the Revolutionary War, John, Jr., served in the Washington County, Pennsylvania, Militia, which was organized in 1781. In April 1782, John, Jr., served in Captain Andrew Swearingen's Company of the 3rd class, of the 3rd Battalion. In September 1782, he served in Captain Charles Bildernack's Company of the 3rd class, 3rd Battalion. After the death of his father, John Allison, Sr., on March 25, 1790, John Allison, Jr., inherited according to John, Sr.'s, will, "land on the west side of the trail I now live on". On June 5, 1790, John Allison, Jr., purchased from Robert and Martha Stewart, 100 acres of land in Strabane Township (now Canton Township) of Washington County, Pennsylvania. In 1800, John and Eleanor lived in Canton Township, Washington County. John Allison, Jr., died on April 15, 1804, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. John Allison, Jr., died intestate. In August 1805, the Orphan's Court of Washington County addressed the petition of Eleanor Allison, John, Jr.'s, widow, for the appointment of guardians for her children. Samuel Agnew and William Brownlee were appointed as guardians of John, Jr., and Eleanor Allison's children John, James, David, Jane, Martha, and Ellenor/Eleanor (all under 14 years old). In 1807, John, Jr.'s, estate was probated. After John, Jr.'s, death, his 100 acres of land was owned by his heirs. In 1810, Eleanor Allison resided in Canton Township. In 1820, Eleanor Allison lived in Canton Township. On August 7, 1826, John, Jr.'s, heirs sold to their brother, David Allison, the above 100 acres of land, for $640, with $160 paid to each heir. The heirs included brother John Allison (of Wayne County, Ohio, and his wife Ann) and sisters Jane Allison, Martha Allison (she did not sign the deed), and Ellenor/Eleanor Allison. David Allison died intestate and unmarried about 1831, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. On November 7, 1831, John Allison (son of John Allison, Jr.) of Wayne County, Ohio, purchased the 100 acres of land, for $250 from John Jr.'s, surviving heirs, including sisters Ellenor/Eleanor (and her husband Thomas Morrison of Muskingum County, Ohio) and Martha. In 1831, John Allison, Jr's, widow, Eleanor, resided in Washington County.
