Mary Rosalia (Rose) was born in Ashfield, Ontario, Canada, to Patrick O'Sullivan and Catherine Deane. She had 7 siblings, Catherine, Margaret, Mary, Frank, John Jack (#150704741), Patrick and Daniel. She moved to Bay City, MI and married Joseph Thomas Bishop aka Firman Levesque. They had 8 children, 7 of whom survived to adulthood. The family lived for a time in Brimley, MI, where Joseph was the light keeper at the Point Iroquois light station. After her husband died, Rose moved to Detroit and lived with her daughter, Margaret, and granddaughter, Anne (Mickey) until her passing in 1953.
