dwell #24 David J. Edwards age 52 is Nathaniel Moxley age 83 a 'Cooper', Delila age 40 daughter and William age 02 nephew to David J. Edwards and William Moxley age 02

NOTES
Oral tradition within the Alleghany County NC Moxleys is that 3 brothers came to America (Annapolis) with each removing to a separate area of the colonies.
One to the Frederick Maryland area,
one to Westmoreland Virginia
and one to the Alleghany County area.
One of the Westmoreland Moxley was a signer of the Leedstown Resolves along with Henry Lee.
Gilbert Moxley Sorrel's (General Longstreet's Chief of Staff) mother was a Moxley

Nathaniel Moxley II (son of Nathaniel Moxley I and Esther Carson) was born June 17, 1790 in Rockingham Co., NC and died March in Alleghany Co., NC

Unknown, maybe Moxley Family Cemetery - Near Scottsville, NC.

in the Vox-Nile area of Alleghany County where they lived on their farm
Died after 1870 census.
Vox is where the Pleasant Home Church is and Nile is west of Vox and very near where Hwy 21 crosses into VA.
