Born Feb. 16, 1935 in Vermillion County, he was the son of James P. Houston and Elsie Robertson Houston.
He was a veteran of the U.S.Army and was retired from Laborers Local No. 204.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nora Miller.
On Oct. 23, 1964,he married Rosalie Franchetto, who survives.
Other survivors include two brothers, James H.(Geneva) Houston of Terre Haute and Jerry J. (Norma) Houston of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Kay (Bob) Wimsett of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Frist Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with Bob Howard officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery {Edgar Co.ILL} with military honors performed by American Legion Post No. 140 and V.F.W. Post No. 6653.
