Emerson Copeland "E.C." Owen passed away March 17, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 17 days. He was born July 29, 1920 in Oklahoma City, OK to Robert Dimew and Josephine Copeland Owen. E.C. worked as a construction plumber. He was a 55 year member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitter's Union, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Lions Club. He served in the 3rd Army, 65th Infantry Division in Germany, under General George Patton in WW11. He loved fishing, bird watching and driving his Volkswagen. He is survived by 1 son: Kenneth Owen of New Orleans, LA; 1 sister: Elsie Owen Neal of California; 3 Grandchildren: Jeffery, Christopher and Dwayne; 2 Great Grandchildren: Lance Emerson Owen and Meadow Kelsie Owen. He is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Dawson Owen; 1 son: Mike Owen; 2 brothers: Erskine K. Owen and Joe H. Campbell.
