Born Jan. 14, 1882, in Lanark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Nichol [Sheila Hughes’s note: Mother: Catharine Shiley]. Lived 76 years in Rockford, coming here from Shannon. Married Eugene C. Brasure in Rockford Oct. 6, 1934. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lulu Flanders, Rockford.

Private graveside services at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev. Herbert Grufke, associate pastor of Court Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements by Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave. No visitation.
