Gerald Jansen, 61, of 1703 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had a heart attack while driving in the 1000 block of South 10th Street and was removed to the hospital by the city rescue squad.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. D. L. Krembs will officiate at the solemn requiem high Mass and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Jansen was born at Manitowoc Sept. 19, 1901, son of the late Bernard and Sophie Grave Jansen. He was educated in Manitowoc public schools and married Sadie Grady at Osman June 9, 1925. He had been a tool and die maker at Mirro Aluminum Co. for 38 years. Mr. Jansen was a member of Machinists Local No. 516, Eagles Aerie No .706, Mirro Twenty-five Year Club, Holy Name Society of St. Andrew Church, Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Assn and a former member of Manitowoc Chapter Izaak Walton League He has been active in Boy Scouting for years and had been one of the principal founders of the City Men's Rifle League now sponsored by the Recreation Dept.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jansen, of Palo Alto, Calif., two sons, Dr. Thomas Jansen, of Little Rock, Ark., and John Jansen, of Gooding, Idaho; a brother, Jack Jansen, of Manitowoc and four grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. by Holy Name Society and St. Andrew Parish members.

St. Fidelis Church in Meeme was the scene of a pretty wedding Tuesday morning when Miss Sadie Grady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Grady of Liberty and Gerald Jansen of Manitowoc were united in marriage by the Rev. Schmit. The attendants were Mrs. R.L. Pritchard, sister of the bride, the Misses Agnes Logan and Ella Grady, Henry Jansen, brother of the bride and little Mary Pritchard as flower girl, Gordon Jansen, ring bearer and R. Pritchard, and Joseph Grady as ushers.

Thirty-five immediate friends and relatives were present and after the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents.

The couple have gone on a ten days' wedding trip and will visit Milwaukee, Madison, Wisconsin Dells, St. Paul and Three Lakes, making the trip by motor. They will be at home after July 1, at 1416 Marshall Street.

The bride is a popular young lady of the county having graduated from the Manitowoc high school and also from the Rural Normal School and was engaged as a teacher in the county for the past five years. The groom is employed as a machinist at the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company.
