WATERBURY — Louis Nicholas Abbondelo Sr., 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth (Jodoin) Abbondelo, in 2004.

He was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Waterbury, son of the late Angelo and Philomena (Dell'erario) Abbondelo. Louis was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy. Upon his return from the war, he became a machinist at Anaconda American Brass prior to his retirement.

Louis was predeceased by three brothers John, Albert and James Abbondelo, and four sisters, Pauline Guerrera, Rose Rinaldi, Mary DeCosmo and Eleanor Blaise.
