EDMUND J. KACZMAREK

(1924 • 2005)

Edmund J. Kaczmarek, age 80, of 927 S. 234d St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, July 19, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

He was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Koszudy, Poland, son of the late Stanislow and Veronica Ratajczak Kaczmarek. On Nov. 21, 1953, he married the former Sophia Kosarzycki at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Edmund was employed with Hamilton Industries, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include his wife: Sophia Kaczmarek; a son: John Kaczmarek; two daughters and a son-in-law; Krysta Kaczmarek, Mary and Dwight Juul, all of Manitowoc; two step grandchildren: Christy Juul and Adam Juul, both of Milwaukee; and two brothers: Jon Kaczmarek and Walter Kaczmarek, both of Poland. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by two sisters-in-law: Jeannette and Helen Kaczmarek.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi – Marshall Site, Manitowoc, from 5 to 7 p.m. this Thursday (TONIGHT) where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. led by Deacon Robert Drobka. Friends may also call Friday morning at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at St. Francis of Assisi –Marshall Site, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Edmund enjoyed gardening, fishing, picking mushrooms, playing cards with his brothers-in-law and making juice from scratch. He enjoyed his trips to Poland and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
