Cora, daughter of John Pederson and Minnie Kittleson Malmin, was half sister to Palmer and Alma Malmin and sister to Josephine, Gunder, Evelyn, Agnes Bertha (Bert) and John. My mother was Agnes Bertha. Cora never married but was mother to all of the children she taught in North Dakota over a long period of time. Her sister Josephine was also a teacher held in high regard by her students and their families.
Aunt Cora was born with a hip deformity which caused her to have one leg much shorter than the other but that didn't stop her from showing great sophistication in her dress style - high heels and all. I will always remember her as being very ladylike.
