Ronald Bruce "Ron" Williams, 49, died May 22 at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was a native of New Jersey and moved to Glynn County six years ago from San Antonio.
retired from the Navy and was the recipient of a number of medals and awards, including the Vietnam Gallantry Cross.
He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Jennifer Mayo of Newnan and Amy Armenia of Lithia Springs; a stepdaughter, Hope Edgerton of Forsythe; a stepson, Stephen K. Edgerton of Fort Knox, Ky.; his mother, Helen L. Williams of Brunswick; two brothers, Dennis Lee Williams of Brunswick and Kenneth Wayne Williams of St. Marys; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Northside Baptist Church, burial in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites.
