SPRINGFIELD - A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Island Park in Springfield for Howard Daniel Chastain of Springfield, who died Oct. 10 of a stroke. He was 54.
He was born June 4, 1954, in Modesto, Calif., to Howard and Euanita Ingram Chastain. He married Mary Lois Martin on Oct. 22, 1983, in Modesto.
He earned his associate's degree and later worked as a millwright and mechanic. He lived in the Lane County area for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gilbert Lucero of Eugene, Jason Lucero of Springfield and Gregory Woody of Modesto; five daughters, Angela Glover of Salem, and Patricia McCrary, Christina Chastain, Amie Chastain and Karrie Chastain, all of Springfield; a brother, Victor of Ceres, Calif. …
