John P. "Jack" Brennan, , He was born in Hackensack, the son of John P. and Cecilia (Duddy) Brennan. He married Irene D. Koll June 12, 1937. He received his bachelor of science degree from St. Cloud Teacher's College and his master's degree from the University of North Dakota. He taught school in Lakeville, Walker, Little Falls and Coleraine. From 1945-1970, he was a teacher and administrator for the Greenway School District in Coleraine. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He had resided in the St. Cloud area since 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Irene, Sartell; children, Jean Bennett, Seattle, Wash., Nancy Brennan, St. Joseph, Daniel, Minneapolis, and Mary Michaud, Sauk Rapids; a brother, Cecil, Portland, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were three brothers.
Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Coleraine.
Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine
Mr.Brennan was my principal in grade school. He was such a kind man, and to my astonishment he always remembered me!
