Lillian Lanclos Lagrange, a resident of Franklin, died at 8:33 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Franklin Health Care Center. She was 86 and a native of Centerville.

Visitation at Church of the Assumption, Franklin, from 9 a.m. until recitation of the rosary at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Russo. Interment in Franklin Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Gary P. LaGrange of New Orleans; brothers, Livingston Lanclos of Verdunville, Ben Lanclos of Sulphur, Alton Lanclos of Bossier City, Homer Lanclos of Franklin and James Lanclos of Jeanerette; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward LaGrange; a son, Donald J. LaGrange Sr.; father, Alexander B. Lanclos; mother, Adele LeBlanc Lanclos; brothers, Lawrence, Austin, Rufus, Henry and Clarence Lanclos; and sisters, Agnes Babin and Lorraine Robicheaux.

Mrs. LaGrange was a founding member of the Hanson Booster Club and was active in the Lions Club Auxiliary, as well as the community and school affairs, including Church of the Assumption, Hanson Memorial School and St. John Elementary School. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Assumption.
