Jeanette (Dyk) Goossen has left a legacy of service to God and service to others. Jeanette was born on September 13, 1918 to Sam and Jenny Dyk. She grew up in Montana, graduated from Simpson Bible College in Seattle, and spent a couple years in Eastern Montana doing rural missionary work, before leaving for three terms of missionary service in Nigeria, under the Sudan Interior Mission. She has lived in Seattle since 1963, working for Seattle Public Schools for 20 years and enjoying retirement after that.

She died on February 14, 2010 and will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. Jeanette will be remembered for her steadfast faith, resilient spirit, and sense of humor.

She is survived by a son, daughter and son-in-law, granddaughter, sister, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews [survivors names omitted].

A memorial service will be held in her honor on February 23, 2010 at the North Seattle Alliance Church at 2:00 PM; 2150 North 122nd Street, Seattle, 98133--Evergreen Washelli Funeral Homes
