Esther Odessa Vaulx transitioned this life, November 23, 2014, at home in Plainfield, New Jersey. Born in Palestine,Texas on July 5th, 1922, she has been a resident of Plainfield, over 40 years, formerly of Neptune, NJ.

Mrs. Vaulx had attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Plainfield, employed as an elementary school teacher in Hazlet, NJ for 30 year before retiring. She was known for her selfless volunteer work at the YM & YWCA in Plainfield, the Muhlenberg RMC, and the children at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Predeceased by her husband Wilford Vaulx and parents Isaiah & Hattie Holloway.

She is survived by her sons, Wilford Vaulx-Smith (Petronilla) & Carl Vaulx; grandson, Shomari Vaulx-Smith; sisters-in-law Mary Vaulx Armstrong and Annie Pearl St. Andre; niece Shelly Armstrong.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at 12:00 noon, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 W. Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43606
